Georges Vigouroux, the third generation, picked up the torch in 1963 giving a national dimension to the wine brokering company when he developed the sales of bottled wine. He then became a vinegrower-winemaker when he planted vines on the slopes of Cahors from 1971. To do this, he choose a site where there was already a vineyard in the Middle Ages, and from which the Château de Haute-Serre wine had its heyday in the 19th century before the vines were destroyed by phylloxera.

The purchase of Château de Mercuès in 1983 and the construction of a vinification chai and an underground ageing cellar marked the second big stage in his personal success.
